For those who use aqueous pigment inks in their ink jet printer for making signs and graphics on Tyvek material, the high gloss finish offers excellent handling characteristics including rapid dry time and water resistance. Tyvek is recyclable*.
The glossy Tyvek vinyl is filling a void in the aqueous sports photography printer market. When sports photographers create an event for private schools, clubs and organizations, they frequently provide or at least would like to provide a sign banner for the day— announcing the shoot day. This material being very cost effective fits this void nicely. These banners used for sports marketing are temporary for just the event date pre-announcements, hense this product is a natural fit and costs effective. Many photographers are just not aware of this product.

CHARLESTON, SC, USA – January 18, 2013 – Sawgrass Technologies, Inc., and Seiko Epson Corporation of Japan today announced that they have entered into a long term license agreement under which Epson, as an authorized Sawgrass licensee, will sell inks for sublimation imaging.
Sawgrass is an industry leading developer of innovative printing technologies as well as the world largest supplier of dye sublimation inks. Seiko Epson Corporation is a global imaging and innovation leader for a broad range of electronics products. Epson printers as well as their patented piezo electric print heads are used in the dye sublimation market.
Seiko Epson has extensively evaluated the Sawgrass global patent portfolio and signed a license agreement which allows them to legally enter the dye sublimation ink business with printers having a carriage width greater than 42 inches.
The latest driver and firmware for the S6145 CS2 Printer by KG Digital, will be posted to their website shortly. The upgrade will allow you to determine the sleep mode duration from 5 min up to 4 hours. The driver also provides a diagnostic tool that can be found in the printer preferences in order to activate these changes. A slight bug fix in the driver, the new driver will also increase the print speeds.
